On the day of your procedure, you will meet with Dr. Tandon and discuss your surgery one final time. Local anesthesia or sedation is administered to ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.

The excess skin is removed, the tissue is repositioned, and the incisions are closed with sutures and protected with bandages. The procedure typically takes one to two hours.
Lip Lift Recovery
Following surgery, you will be monitored until it is safe for you to go home. A friend or family member should accompany you.
Mild swelling and bruising are normal and typically subside within a few days. Strenuous activities should be avoided for the first few weeks. LIP LIFT FAQS
Every patient reacts to pain differently, but since a Lip Lift is typically performed under sedation, either with local anesthesia or general anesthesia, any discomfort or pain will be minimal, if experienced at all. You should expect some swelling, bruising, and mild discomfort after the surgery, but these symptoms are usually well-managed with pain medication that Dr. Tandon will prescribe to you.
Dr. Tandon will have you return to our office about a week after surgery so that he can monitor your recovery and remove any bandages or sutures. After this initial follow-up appointment, most patients will need to return a few more times over the next few months but will space out even more between each subsequent visit.
Dr. Tandon will always inform you of how he believes you are recovering and when he expects to see you again.
While many patients will be able to see some positive results immediately following your procedure, you should expect to see better results in about three to four months, with the final results producing more definition with a better lip ratio after about a year post-surgery.
Absolutely! Many of our patients will use a combination of treatments to enhance their results and increase their confidence. Lip Lift surgery is often performed in combination with other facial enhancement treatments such as a Rhinoplasty or Chin Implant, but also pairs wonderfully with non-surgical treatments such as BOTOX.
