This 29-year-old female patient from Boston, Massachusetts presented four years after breast augmentation performed elsewhere with implant malposition, poor cleavage, and significant animation deformity. Her 250 cc subpectoral implants had migrated laterally and settled too low on the chest.
Dr. Vickram Tandon performed revision breast augmentation with implant removal, subtotal capsulectomy, pectoralis muscle repair, and conversion from a subpectoral to a muscle-preserving subfascial plane. Motiva SmoothSilk RSF 375 cc implants were placed with DuraSorb bioabsorbable mesh for additional support. She is shown here two months post-operatively with beautifully centered implants, restored cleavage, improved symmetry, and resolution of her animation deformity. These are still early results and will continue to soften and settle as healing progresses.
